Non-Exclusive List of Possible Sanctions/Outcomes for Employees Found In Violation of the Sex-Based Misconduct Policy
Main Content
If a violation of policy is found, the relevant university unit, in consultation with campus human resources, shall determine and take appropriate corrective and/or disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal if warranted. If the finding involves Title IX Sexual Harassment, the Decision-Maker Panel will consult with other appropriate administrators in determining the appropriate sanction. All corrective action and discipline will be imposed in accordance with applicable University statutes and relevant University rules and regulations. When required to do so by law or federal guidance, the university will disclose to the complainant any disciplinary sanctions imposed against the respondent(s). Respondent(s) may have an opportunity to challenge or appeal corrective and/or disciplinary actions through the applicable disciplinary policies and procedures and/ or grievance process. If no violation of policy is found, the university may still take corrective action if other unit or university rules have been violated and/or when otherwise required based on institutional interests and needs.
